Upload it

A title, your name, the year you wrote it, a short description, and the manuscript itself: paste it in, or drop a .txt or .md file. Want to send reference images for your characters too? Attach them here, entirely optional.

It works out who a reader could play, what this book's own natural rating is, and pulls your real dialogue and key scenes so no one puts words in your characters' mouths.

Let a reader step into a character and make different choices, or lock it to read-only: no input accepted, your book delivered exactly as written, start to finish.

Set it private or public

Keep it to yourself, or put it on the shelf for every reader. You can flip that switch, or take it down, whenever you want.

Interactive, or word for word.

Interactive lets a reader step into one of your characters and make different choices than the book. Read-only doesn't. In read-only mode, a reader has no way to type a response, take a different action, or change a single line: they get your book exactly as you wrote it, start to finish, and nothing else happens. If your book is meant to be read, not rewritten, that's a real, first-class setting here, not an afterthought, and it's yours to choose, book by book.

Read-only means read-only

Some authors want their book played and reshaped. Others want it read exactly as written, and nothing else. Choose read-only and a reader gets your story straight through: no input, no branching choices, no way to change a single word.

Private, or on the shelf

Private means exactly that: only you can open and play it. Public puts it in front of every InLibrus reader, and just needs a contact email on file, since that's where reader feedback goes.

Built from your book, not a template

InLibrus reads the whole manuscript to find the characters worth playing, the moments worth living inside, and your book's own voice, so a reader stepping in meets your story, not a generic one.

Your call on character art

Send reference images for your characters and InLibrus builds their portraits from those. Don't have any? Skip it, InLibrus generates character art straight from your book's own descriptions instead. Either way, it's your call.

Feedback, straight to your inbox

A public book lets readers leave a quick rating and a note. It comes to you by email, privately, never posted anywhere public, and you can just hit reply.

Lock any dial you care about

How closely a reader has to follow your plot, how far their choices are allowed to ripple, how strictly a character keeps to your book's voice, how dangerous it gets, how fast it moves, how explicit it's allowed to be. Lock any of these and a reader can't override it.
